T mobile have asked me to call for more info before they can post my contract i have applied for?

ok so yesterday i applied for a contract phone and they have asked me to call them as they need more info before completeing my application. has thiss happened to you and did you get the phone im thinking they want some money towards it before sending let me know if you have had similer happen cheers
