Seriously considering islam. Who can i speak to and ask questions and where can i get a Quaran?

I have been raised a christian and at one stage considered myself quite devout. Less than a year ago my mother ped away and i began to reevaluate life, what it means and what i honestly believe. I started to see fundamental flaws in christianity and began to research other options and beliefs. I came across islam and find that i agree and to some extent have always agreed with their beliefs. I want to find out more, possibly get a Quaran and speak to others who have been through similar things so that i don't make a rash/hasty decision as i realise this decision will not only affect me now but will have affect on my eternity. It is also very difficult to turn away from a religion that has been so indoctrinated in me since i was a child.
