Do you agree with Mahatma Gandi's quote: "You must be the change you want to see in the world." ?
I learned this in my environmental sciences cl, and i feel that i have be quite obsessed by this quote because I want to be part of the circle of change especially when parents force their kids to marry someone within their race, or religion. Or when people judge others by the colour of their skin and not by the content of their character. Here is one article that I want you to read: It is about two sisters who got shot by their father for dating two non-muslim boys, and another case in Mississauga, ON who was strangled to death for not wearing the hijab and for changing into western style clothes, and then another girl in Atlanta, GA who got strangled to death for refusing an arranged marriage, this is so stupid, and these parents should get a life in prison sentence! Here is the article: a href="http://thephoenix.com/Boston/News/64915-deadly-cost-of-%E2%80%98honor-killings/." rel="nofollow"http://thephoenix.com/Boston/News/64915-…/a This is why I want change. I want people to have their own choice on what he/she believes in, marriage, and condemn these illegal activities, and tell these parents that if you immigrate into Canada, United States, or a European country that you must obey the laws in your land, not bring your barbaric laws into these countries. Plus I want the UN to wake up and smell the coffee, and promote democracy in the world, and provide laws that are just like Canada, or the United States so people can live in peace and happiness.
