I've joined a personals website, but I'm nervous about posting my picture...?

I don't know why, but the thought of actually posting my picture on the website makes me a little uneasy. What if someone I know stumbles across it? I haven't exactly come out to too many people yet. Should I just post it anyway? Have any of you been nervous about posting your pic on a personals website?
