How much is a redbone coonhound?

First of all, it depends where you get it for the price. Breeders may sell it for Show, which can get spendy especially depending on how the bloodline is. I'm not sure what they will spend for a show dog but the average price for a pet one is $500. As for taking care of them, Coonhound dogs must have plenty of daily exercise. They have an amazing sense of smell and when a scent is picked up, it may have a tendency to dart off as fast as they can towards the target. These dogs also love to swim and can be kept outdoors if necessary. However, they are family-oriented so it makes a better choice to keep them indoors at night with the rest of the family. Grooming requirements are minimal, with a weekly brushing to remove dead hair. Some Redbone Coonhounds also have a tendency to drool a lot. They live around 12 - 15 years, depending on vet care and not neglect. Some have been able to live to 20+years, but that's somewhat rare. To train one you need to be consistant. They're nataural born hunters, if not that it'd be a good idea to train them as a watch dog. Hope I helped, Good Luck =)
