How hard is it to learn Irish gaelic? And can you list good books, tapes, or web sites where I can learn it?

pretty hard, i'm doing irish at higher level in school and the grammar is f*cked up! it's completely confusing, but once you get the knack of it, it's fine. i think any beginner's book is fine, you just need to learn off loads of vocab and the grammar and it'll be fine. you need a book that'll give you loads of exercises to work on and practise. good luck
