Buying a house with a self directed IRA.

I am looking into buying a house for my father with his IRA. There is a "safe harbor" IRA which would enable us to use his IRA funds to purchase property that he can live in without major tax consequences. Just wondering if anyone knows the drawbacks of doing this? It seems like a great idea to me, but many people seem to be negative about it without clear reasons.

Squeaking noise on my honda?

I have a 87 honda accord and then left front tire area squeaks when you put pressure on the car pushing it down or when it hits a bump. When I turn the steering wheel even when the car is not moving or running it squeaks. I sprayed it with some lubricant but it still squeaks what could be causing this?

Penn State or Virginia Tech?

I want to be a civil engineer major. i got accepted to both PSU and VT. I'm split down the middle on where to go. And here's the worst part, my mom thinks i will get lost at PSU since it's so large and my dad is basically 100% anything from pennsylvania. no matter who i talk to im getting a biased opinion and my parents are fighting over it and i think my dad might hate me if i go to VT. So in your opinion which school should i go to?
